I went ahead and ordered an SS diffuser, I can't be driving around this way lol. Dealer had it in stock and gave it to me for $74.23. Way cheaper than I was expecting.

Finally stuck this emblem on, I'm not sure how much I like it but I'll leave it on for now. Curious to see what Fabberge came up with...

Here's the diffuser installed. I know it's crazy but I'm really digging the way the trash cans look lol. I really hope the resonated X-pipe makes it sound good. I don't think it could make it any louder or create drone so it can only help. Plus I'll want it on there even if I get a different axleback. I'm ok with it being quiet as long as it's not too raspy and tinny. Quiet and fast!

It's SOOOOOO nice to drive around with no drone. I guess I'm just getting old...

Nice and clean! I always wondered how the SS exhaust would sound on the V6?

My thoughts exactly, nice and clean. Even though I liked the quad exhaust setup, I could always see where it went from one pipe into the dual tip and it just seems fake. On the NPP it looks good and has a purpose. I'm back to liking the duals look better now.

It sounds pretty decent at idle and everything 2,000 rpm and under. Beyond that it sounds raspy and ricy. So I'm just puttin around for now lol.

I'm hoping the xpipe takes care of that. It sure did wonders with a muffler delete, completely changed it from horrible sounding to smooth and exotic. Just got to be too loud.

If possible post a video once you get it in, I would love to hear it.

Awesome thread - really making me want to do this. Are there any suspension bits that you feel are a must for putting down 450+ rwhp?

Well after driving about 150 miles the left side muffler has developed a nasty rattle. Only on light accelearation but it sounds terrible it must have an internal weld broke or something I don't know but it sucks. I really don't want to take the bumper off again and switch diffusers to put my other exhaust back on. Maybe I should just order an axleback for an SS. I wonder what the quietest one would be with the least amount of drone... I wasn't really wanting to spend more money on exhaust right now and I was looking forward to running these factory mufflers but oh well.

You don't really NEED anything but sway bars are nice if you like the turns, I have ZL1 sway bars and pfadt 1.25" lowering springs and I love how my car handles. As far as putting the power to the ground I have no problem. The turbos come on gradually so it really helps for not blowing the tires off it, I'm running general gmax all season tires and I do pretty good.

Same tires I run as well. That is a benefit of the Turbos for sure being easier on the drive train with the turbo lag.

The SS version has larger turbos than the V6 version. Considering both cars have the same chassis, I would say yes.
