I think they noticed the Shift Pattern Placard, but I dont think they realised that reverse is on the drivers side. I am SOOOO used to the T56's passenger side reverse:(

But eventually, we'll have the option to get one, no doubt.

Hopefully, yes. Most likely we'll see it in 2010 cause 2009 model year is really short. But yes I hope and beleave there will be Z28. But I know there diffently won't be a ZL1 aka: COPO Camaro...

Hey dont get me wrong...i apologize to everyone...sorry about that
I love Camaro...and have one myself....and iam just as excited about this car as is everyone else....but Something just looked really different to me when I first saw these pics and i noticed right away....this car does not look mean and as aggresive as the one we've been used to seeing all over the internet for a long time now. The front seems pretty much the same for the exception of the headlights....the turn signals were on the outside before and now thier on the inside...which really doesnt make a noticable difference to the front look of the car....and also is the concept wider? ....or am i just imagining it?

And from behind....it doesnt look so intimidating anymore....someone said they had to put that bump in the rear for crash purposes....well if thats the case.... then why isnt the corvette all pointy from behind....i just think they should have rounded and smoothed it out as much as they could....its so obvious....i noticed that right away and iam sure others will too...and where are those huge exhaust pipes? Something looks different about the tail lights too?They could have made it look closer to the concept by placing the reverse lights next to the license plate like the corvette rather than sticking them out there and saying.... look...here i am. Does anyone else agree with me on these little details ?.....that would have made a huge difference. Those reverse lights really are an eye sore on whats supposed to be a smooth sexy behind.

Iam not trying to put the car down...its a beautiful car....legendary.....just wanted to get everyone elses opinion

for the record vettes arent crash tested theyre a niche car. I know someone stated that in a former thread. thats why it looks like that..

When you read "reinforced safety cage" under the standard safety feachers on the window sticker, they mean reinforced.

Look at crash test footage on new cars. The best cars in head on collisions absorb most of the collision in the front of the car, and the passenger compartment goes basically untouched. But you will notice, even on the most sever collisions, the frames around the windows and roof line are hardly even bent. There are seriously solid steel beams between the sheetmetal and interior plastic.

Imagine the roll cage in the General Lee, only integrated seamlessly and completely unnoticeable into the body structre.

Not really relevant, but those "Jaws of Life" cutters are pretty neat!
