After lots of debating I'll (6'0) be getting one in mine, I rented a LT1 with a sunroof and it fit me just fine .

Yeah I really need to visit a dealership that has more than 2-3 Camaros on the lot so that I can sit in one with a sunroof and without one. I think once I do that, the decision will hit me.

I saw an IOM 2SS/RS pull out of the dealership lot down the road for me earlier this evening, and he merged onto the same highway I went on, and passed me... then about an hour ago I was getting a sub and in the parking lot was a SIM 2LT/RS without a sunroof. I had to check out the reverse mohawk on it before I left. Not all that much different from a regular roof. Maybe it was just not showing well because it was dark.

Damn I want this car... now..

purely personal choice, like color. I like the look better with a sunroof than the reverse mohawk so I got a run roof. Your taste may be different.

I have a camaro, a lexus and a toyota land cruiser and the camaro roof is extremely noisier at 30 than my land cruiser is at 80 and the lexus at 100. It is nice to open for light, and under 30. It does cut down on headroom, esp if used with the seat raised for improved line of sight over the hood. That said, I enjoy mine, but would like it more if it were a better design. I too would prefer it being concealed into the roof.

If you are debating this seriously, wait and get the convertible! lol

I'm 6'3" and I fit with the seat all the way down. I will be getting a sunroof for the light it lets into the cockpit. I know the reverse Mohawk is cool and looks awesome, but I have to have a hole in the roof.

Spasticsquirrel shows 35,376 Camaros with a sunroof and 41,842 without. The sunroof has to be one of the most popular options on the new Camaro. In my opinion you got to have it just for the light it lets in during the day.

I drove both before making my decision on what to order. I went without the sunroof. I didn't like the looks of the car when the sunroof is open. I did not like how the sun seemed to be in my eyes while driving with the sunroof open. I love the look of the mowhawk roof, it is what sets the Camaro apart from many other boring roofs. Lastly it saved me the money that will be used for exhaust an CAI upgrades.

myOld88,

It is amazing how cool your white Camaro looks with those red stripes and I think it look great with the sunroof!!!

In some way, you camaro, because of the color combo, looks extra sporty. Actually, now that I think about it, it is the same color as Speed Racer's Mach 5, which, when I was a kid, was the absolute coolest!!!!

Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer, Go!!!!!

Sunroof all the way. You don't even notice it from the outside unless you're above it. Plus what a guy earlier said it's nice to let some light in the car.

I did not want it, but, the dealer I worked with found one with all the options I wanted, plus the sunroof. I wanted the car bad, so I agreed and took it. Now that I have had it a bit, I actually like the sunroof and I really USE it. I am glad I got it, l like to just pop open the back of it and cruise.

To each their own, but from someone who thought this was a waste of money and a dumb option, I really am learning to love this thing. Its your car, do what ya want.

I really like my sun roof, but unfortunately I'm a taller guy and it does cut down on the head room from what I hear. But the first camaro that I sat in and test drove had a sunroof, and then I went from that one to mine, which has the sun roof, so I'll never know what kind of head room I could have had... I open mine on sunny days, I like it. Just wish I had more head room.
