I feel for you

I feel for you.I also worry about this sort of thing happening too me.I try to always look twice prior to proceeding with this car do to its inherent visibility issues.
Can't always do it though when you got heavy traffic coming at you from multiple directions.Hope she/he gets fixed up quickly and good as new.

Oh, I know I was responsible, at least legally. I got ticketed as well for failure to yield.

Simply put, he had the right of way. I did look, like I normally would, but never saw her. It's possible the roof pillar played a part in my not seeing the SUV pull out onto the north/south street. Regardless of why I didn't see her...the fact is, I pulled out in front of her.

Accidents happen. I've only caused 3 accidents in my 47 years of life, but I'd be the first to admit fault for each one. The first accident was when I was 17, the second about 12 years ago. I've been in 5 accidents that were caused by the other person. Fortunately, none of the accidents have been serious, but minor fender benders...except for one...but that's another story for another time.

Noooo!.........Bummer Dennis. I'm sure it will be repairable. Doesn't look anywhere near as bad as the other side did when it was hit.

Nope, but it's still probably 8-10 grand in repairs, I'm guessing. I'm hoping the frame isn't bent this time as well, but this time it was more of a side impact, rather than an SUV driving more front to back through my car. My first accident, the SUV hit me from 15-20 degree compass angle looking forward, whereas this accident today was directly from the side.

Comparison shot:
