Thanks for the advice, I had no idea tires made that much of a difference.

I'm just going to drive my 74 K10 when the weather get snowy again. Besides I'd rather not put the salt on the new Camaro anyways.

You guys are really making me want to look into buying a set of winter tires. I drove my car 20 miles in 4" of snow on Friday night, but I never went above 35-40mph and it was late enough that there wasn't any traffic around. I had no issues with slipping or losing traction with my all seasons.

Funny enough, I only lost traction once and that's when I MADE it fish tail around a corner on purpose just to scare my wife.

I had a similar situation when I first bought mine, we had an inch of unexpected snow, I made it home but my driveway is a fairly steep incline, I had to leave it at the bottom on the side of the road until the snow melted.

You are so correct on this one...my wifes daily driver except for the winter months...I was forced to allow her to use one of my cars until I purchased theses tires...Wow first yr with the tires and first snow so here we go...we got about 2 inchs but the ice was the main concern wife goes out to work I waited for the call...I did get a call only to hear the praise of these tires.
If you drive this beast in the winter months you better put a good winter tire on.

I see you are from NY. Please let us know when you are out on the Island in bad weather so that we can keep our Camaros and other cars away from you this winter.

Just saying NOT a good idea, IMHO.

Any slight change in grade would have my tires slipping when idling in 2nd gear. My one tire fire 2wd s10 was better than this and that has NO weight over the rear end and has been stuck in my own driveway several times.
Yep......I've had my summer tires on all winter. I don't take it out AT ALL if there is over 1" ..... I can make it a few blocks to the gas station, grocery store...I live in town....I never take it on the highway, but I don't need to either, so... if I 'have' to drive, I will have to use my daughter's car. Been lucky here so far..only twice I haven't been able to drive it when I wanted to.

I'm OK with my Camaro. I don't have the RS Package though and on my 1LT I have 18" Wheels. I think that is what makes a difference. I'm fine with light snow, so far, but I haven't tried deep yet.
