Why buy a Prius?
Price Starting at $24K HP: 134 Hwy MPG: 48 Hwy Range: 540 mi. When you can have the OPs 2LS Camaro Price Starting at $25K HP: 323 Hwy MPG: 34 Hwy Range: 612 (calculated from 18 gal and his MPG) ![]() Seems like the Camaro lovers would enjoy seeing stuff like this.

I have an SS but think its great that the 2LS gets good mileage. I wish my Impala (or Silverado) got close to that for a DD car. Mileage is the reason Chevy gave that model the gears it has because there is a market for a good looking yet still fuel efficient car. Enjoy the ride and the mileage!

Notice to all SS owners to tread lightly. I got booted for 10 days for expressing my opinion of V-6s and their relevance to the Camaro legend. Best to leave the smaller HP types to their own threads.

Yikes I can't imagine keeping it under 65 miles an hour
I'm usually doing 80-85, but even then I'm averaging 24mpg mixed highway and city.To the "Who cares about MPG?" drivers - just remember if it weren't for the good MPGs talked about in this thread your SS wouldn't even exist. V8 sales alone would not justify the Camaro's existence.

When I set the cruise control at 65 I get around 32 MPG, it sure drops off fast though if I speed up.

Last week I tried several ways to make the MPG fall off on the highway. No matter what speed I chose, I simply couldn't make my 1LT fall below 31.7. The only thing I've found that can cause a noticable decline is a sustained head wind. We get serious wind in Texas sometimes and it can reduce mileage by around 2MPG. |

I'd do the same thing if it was a discussion about how many bags of groceries will fit in a Camaro's trunk. |
