34.5 MPG on v6?

Just did the first real highway driving with my new 2LS and car measured 34.5 MPG. I was pretty surprised and thrilled with that, especially considering car has less than 1k miles. Averaged about 65mph. Are others seeing similar numbers?

Mine gets about 25mpg Highway on long trips (150 miles plus). I have seen low 30's for short periods of time though

I have seen 32.2mpg (and climbing) on my 2011 at 65. But I have a few mods.

The 2LS is made for good mileage and can only be compared to other 2LS cars.

The 2012 2LS will also get better gas mileage than any other trim because it has gearing specifically for mpg

Finally some else agrees with me.
I have done the same MPG's as long as I keep it below 65 mph.

Yah well why these guys in the V8 guzzlers bother chiming in on a gas consumption thread is beyond me. I bought the V6 because mileage was more important than horsepower to me. Don't let 'em get to you. I find it vastly interesting that after 27k miles I'm getting better gas mileage now than when my 2LT was new. The CAI and PTB seemed to help with that.
If I am already out on the hiway and reset my mpg and stay on fairly level ground mine will get 34 mpg. Averaged out with daily driving I'm getting 24.5 mpg and when it was new I was only getting 21 or 22 mpg.

Wow, that's great. It will probably get better. It usually take about 5K miles for a DI motor to start getting the best MPG.

I've got a 2LS also and I tracked my gas this morning when I left home. When I got to work my read-out said 33.2MPG.

People want to try and disprove the mileage I get but I say let the haters hate lol.

I regularly get over 30MPG on the interstate and I don't really need to prove that to anyone. Why people always chime in with the "You bought a sports car for mileage" BS is beyond me....

Great job man!

I avg 20mpg with "spirited" driving lol. But on the highway, I set cruise control @70mph, and get 36mpg if its flat.
