To be honest I also considered keeping my stock throttle body for some of the same reasons discussed here. I have kept all my other stock parts. But I decided to send my stock one in & get the refund to put toward other mods! When you get the ported one, you can see there is little visable difference on the outside. They etch it to show it has been ported but where it is etched does not show when installed.

I wanted to keep all of my stock parts so I just bought a stock TB from rock auto for 80$ and sent it in to be ported. Saved some money and got to keep my stock TB
