That's right about where mine sits at hot idle too. New melling stock-replacement pump a couple thousand miles ago, 22k on the engine

So at 75k miles, it shouldn't be just wear that is causing problems, something is broke if you have a real problem

My comment is assuming it was properly maintained. If the oil was never changed or it was ran without oil or coolant, all bets are off.
The oil consumption would bother me the most if it's excessive. How much are you losing? |

Yes 1 quart every 1400 miles is excessive. I would start with trying to find out what is wrong there. Do a compression test to check the rings. How badly does it smoke?

And no signs of a leak? How about oil in the coolant or water in the oil?
Still likely need to check compression and leak down on each cylinder. |

Yes we have checked. No leaks. Coolant is free of oil. I ve change whole cooling system liquid it is all good without leaks. You think ring worned? Before i installed catch can i checked my throttle body that was insanely dirty. Also k&n fikler was dirty without oil. All intake was dirty also. Cleaned all intake recharged filter installed miahimoto catch can. And now have issues with oil consumption. What you think about afm and valley cover? I disabled afm by tune

Ring wear wouldn't be normal at your total distance under normal circumstances and I would expect it to smoke at least a little but I guess it could be rings. I'm not sure how the AFM and valley cover would cause it to lose oil that doesn't enter the combustion chamber. Either way, a quart in 1400 miles I would expect to smoke or leak onto the ground.
With the signs that the thing wasn't well maintained, I would check compression and leak down to see if it's worth continuing if nothing else. Someone may have ran it without a filter and without changing oil and it could be worn rings and everything else wore also. |

I'm not trying to panic you, I just think you need to do some basic checks on the health of your engine before you chase the lifters to much. You don't want to spend a lot on money on a shot engine. Maybe someone else will chime in on what else might cause burning oil if that is what it's doing, but it could be valve seals, rings, etc. I think I've seen threads where incorrectly installed catch cans having caused oil consumption. But I'm just speculating from the other side of the world.

You might want to post pictures or a diagram of your hose routing on the catch can to see if anyone spots a problem with the routing. I don't think it is a problem with the can itself.
