The brake lights are distracting. People aren't expecting that, and I can see where it could startle someone enough to cause problems. Kinda like a train horn on a passenger vehicle.

Turn signals are cool tho. Very Mustangy. :emoticon7:

I nearly went to the mustangforums.com and posted this vid and was going to say "at least Ford did something right" .

All our emergency vehicles and tow trucks here have rapid fire breaks so I'm not too worried about it.

once I came to from the seizure of the lights flashing, I think I remember them being cool. Scared to look at it again unless I have a mouthpiece in.

Video doesn't do them justice if you have not seen them in person. I think the brake lights are a safety feature, there is no way you can miss them. On the cruise at the last camarofest you could see the Camaro's with those taillights 20 cars ahead with no problem.

If every car had cool turn signals like that, maybe people would actually use them more often.

(Sorry - one of my pet pieves is people not using their turn signals)

Looks good, Adam!

DOT approved does not make them steet legal in all areas, does it? I was told by local LE (when I got stopped for tinted lights & AAC DRL lights) that in Orlando you were not allowed to do "any" modification to the stock lights.

Not to be an old stick-in-the-mud but, this is really how it should be everywhere. Exterior lights are there for SAFETY. Auto manufacturers must stay within some fairly strict specs regarding size, color, intensity, functionality of the exterior lights on the cars they build. This is so you can see and be seen when on the road. I would much prefer things such as "blackouts" and those incredibly bright blue headlights were illegal everywhere. Some of them are just not "safe".

Are those lights not awesome to have? I installed my set last weekend that I got from Apex back in august and the install was easy. Now that I've done a set, I could probably install them in 30 minutes to an hour instead of the 2 hours it took me.

I've already had other 5th gen owners pull up next to me at lights and get my attention to ask about the lights. They really are an awesome product.
