Its a looker for sure, and I do believe that it will be a dynamo on the track.
Something still about the design leaves me wanting however. The interior has a nice texture, but the new Recaro seats lack the sport look and swagger of the oh so beloved (and expensive) 5th gen units. I actually like the wheels but they seem a bit luxurious as opposed to sport (the 1le wheels would actually look sportier). The front grille is monsterous......way way too large. Overall I think this is an exciting car, but not quite enough for me to force a trade. The hp would have to be north of 662 in order to get me thinking of a trade.

Well, i don't want to be too hasty. The new car obviously is going to put out numbers that are going to have to be tested for steroids. I like that they bumped the HP, and I like the way the Micro-Fiber has invaded the little interior. Im not sure I love the way it looks on the outside. The 2012-2015 Z kind of looks violent and muscular like Mike Tyson in a squatty stance just waiting to take your face off. The new Z... well.. it looks very euro. It looks like the Lexus. It has the stones to be a badass, it has the power and all the numbers, but I'm still wondering wheres the badass look on its face?! Its like getting your ass kicked by a pretty boy. Now I haven't seen any colors other than the red, and I expect some crazy colors to make this car a little more fun, but so far I'm just kinda neutral. I don't know why I expected the new ZL1 to take my breath away when the 6th gen looks haven't done it for me yet. I hope in person it has a little more of a presence. I won't say that ill never own one, but Im not seeing it. Ill keep the Z i have and in a few years (2 or 3) ill add to the fleet. At this point Im looking more at the Z06, older ZR1, or a GT500.

keeping my 13, makes more power and I am not a big fan of the new style to be honest to me it doesn't have that muscle car look.. I am interested to see how the 10 speed works though

For what it's worth...up on stage, the stance and appearance of the car caused me to pause before walking up to it...like trying to feed a hungry lion...

Yea I agree. The design looks castrated, metro, euro. The good news it now I have a great excuse to throw down a cam and some other things. |

They went for new front fenders, why not fix the rear bumper? That rear wing makes the ugly rear end ever WORSE!
Sucks we are stuck with the Vette engine, mark my words, the new gt500 will rain on our parade again...:( Price will be really out of reach for us regular guys.

IDK... Love my 1LE. Leaning towards a RS3 instead, and keeping my 1LE.

Absolutely love everything about it. I would get one in a second if it was in my budget. But it's not. So I'll have to live vicariously through the stories of the guys who buy one on camaro6 forums. :(

BTW, I don't want to come off as a negative Nancy, I'm just picky, ask my wife, LOL.
Seems like I dislike 2 things both on the 5th gen and 6th gen ZL1. 5th gen was interior and you know what adding the alcantra to the dash did help for sure and the engine should have been stronger. 6th gen is the rear end and the engine should be stronger. So I guess if the 5th gen gets a B+ then the 6th gen gets a B. I bet this new ZL1 will be 70K, That's a hard pill to swallow. If it cost 60K then my wife will hate me, LOL -bobby

We don't know what the price is, yet. Based on some conversations at the release...I think it's a fair guess that any increase in cost will be proportional to the rest of the lineup. My math (always ever-so-scientific ) Puts that in the low 60s.

We'll see...
If they keep it around the 58-62k range that may be tempting. Anything over 65kMSRP and I'm out. lol

I like the gen5's exterior/lines. Not a fan of the front end of the 6's. I tried but just can get past the giant opening in the front.
The 5's were designed to resemble the original camaro, which is why i like them...they look like a muscle car. In my opinion the new ones have lost alot in that regard |
