Well... I won't fill in the blanks on Scotty's sentence here, but I will say that the torsional rigidity #'s of the coupe and the 'vert are very comparable.
There was a reason that GM had a Mustang GT convertible at Milford in August for us to drive and compare... and it wasn't because the Mustang was better!
Looking at the pic, the surface of the top really looks really smooth - I can't see any hint of the transverse bows that are usually evident in most ragtops.

I'd be very surprised if GM decided to put a diff cooler under there... LOL!

Best regards,

On a side note, Scotty am I good to order the exhaust now for the upcoming vert? if it makes a difference, im ordering the 2Ss... Thanx

I posted this picture in another thread, but I'm posting it again. I'm in Michigan and was driving by one of the GM headquarters and saw this one pull out from there. It's got the manufactures plate on there as well.

Actually, that is a production model. The plant began building production models 2 weeks ago but they will not be available for sale for a few months yet.

.
Are they just building "preferred packages" for lot sales as dealers can't order yet or are they the Production test models (Can't remember actual name)?

Everything we have seen so far is production starts January 10. 2011, but we have been lied to before.

You are thinking of captured test fleet cars and yes, that is what they are building now. They will eventually be sold as used cars.
