I just checked out a black LT at a local dealer today... no orange peel.

The paint on my black '03 Cobra 'vert had some orange peel... wasn't bad, but was noticeable if the light hit it at a certain angle.

Looking forward to seeing how the paint looks on my black SS/RS. We'll see...

BTW (off subject but worth noting) - Hope the half shafts on the Camaro hold up better than they did on my Cobra. It didn't take long for the CVs to start clinking with the 315 drag radials. The addition of the twin-screw Kenne Bell really pushed beyond the limits of the CVs. Sorry for running off topic!

I think we've reached the point where the issue, "orange peel", has been discussed, debated, argued, etc., enough that I'm finding it difficult to find a reason to keep it going.

Every car has it. Some more than others. It is a byproduct of various reasons.

Can we PLEASE;

-accept the fact that every car has it.
-accept the belief that it can be fixed/addressed pretty easily.
-it a result of todays manufacturing processes.
-STOP accusing GM (or any other manufacturer) of producing inferior cars/paint jobs.
-respect opinions on colors, even if you dont share those opinions, ie; color.
-MOVE ON

I am totally going to have to disagree with your statement on SILVER. Silver is one of the best colors for the new Camaro because it truly dose ascent every body line the car has. If you have not seen a silver Camaro in person, you will know what I mean the first time you do…

I agree that silver does do a great job at showing all the body lines but I still think black is the best looking...sorry

Beautiful car no matter what color for sure.

Im with ya!
The way the concept was presented in silver turned me on! Before I saw it I had a couple of preferences in Silver but it wasn't a fav. I think the Infreno is hot, as well as the Inperial Blue, and of course.. black! But what that concept did for me.. it got me hooked! And I just love the way the lines are expressed on the Silver Ice.. so that's what Im getting!

To those that were saying that black hides the lines, I have to disagree.

At night, yes the lines (and most of the car) fades away. During the daylight.... NOTHING makes the body lines pop like a black car.

I'd have to agree about black making the car's lines "pop." My Trans Am is black and those lines cannot be missed. I've always been a person who likes to drive a car that stands out and doesn't blend in. Silver is actually my favorite color, actually chrome is. If I could afford to chrome a 2010 Camaro body, I'd do it. I actually was hooked on the silver concept and vowed to have the same color for my own someday. I think the silver car will stand out just as much due to the concept being silver. The picture of a silver 2010 Camaro is ingrained in my mind from the hundreds of pictures I've seen. I'm deffinitely going silver ice metallic.

Me personally, I will not get silver. Right now my choices are black and RJT ........(subject to change)

All the colors look good, but GM sure liked the silver enough to use it in every picture in the sales brochure except for one CGM! It got very boring. I think they should always present different colors to to keep a potential customer interested.

Silver won't show dust and dirt like dark colors, but it just doesn't reflect like the dark colors either. You ain't gonna get a silver car to look like this black one...
