Hey outlawz, they put it on constraint so that they had time to figure out the issue without building a bunch of cars with bad trannies. Then having them pilled up and need replacement transmissions. That would such to swap that many transmissions after assembly. We would be stuck in what has been coined "Area-51" like many others were.

I'm right behind you at our dealer.

We should find out Thursday if the constraint has been lifted and if it goes to production!

I feel the pain too. My order went in 2SS/RS Manual and was placed on hold because the tranny issue. The guy behind me with an auto is now getting his built. SUCKS.....

Hi All,

Check this out from my dealer yesterday.......

As far as the transmission concern they put a hold on them because they couldn’t handle the torque. We know firsthand because we had a customer that picked up their vehicle and it came back for that same problem. Very disappointing for both of us. I am going to call in today at tech support so I can shed some more light on this situation. If you would like to stop in and I can show you that they are on constraint nationally I will. They are working on this quickly and I don’t foresee any problems from this point further.

Thanks FBodyFather and CamaroScotty!! After reading virtually every post from everyone i am less upset about this hold they did...was pretty pissed because of the other issues i have had trying to order my camaro but now i am not so upset knowing i will get a quality car! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

They held all of them...we don't care about that. Everyone who gets out of QC will have cars with good transmissions. What we do care about it is the cars that are already out there with timebomb transmissions that could break anyday. GM needs to let these people know what the faulty VIN range so these people can get their cars fixed now instead of having their transmission fail while driving.

what I dislike about this is that they tell us do not do a clutch dump at high rpms because it can break....this is BS

When I had my SRT, they encourged you to run it hard and flog the car. they built a car to be run hard. they even included an SRTtrackexpreince where you can go flog the shit out of these cars since they were made to run hard. they had autrocross, 1/8 mile runs, slalom and roadcourse.

now i have to drive gentle with my ss??? this is absurd....

You may as well go do your clutch dump and get it over with. You'll find out good or bad, if bad it will be fixed and no more bitchin.
