Jantzen, looks like you are getting close!! Great job! Here are a couple pictures of that new LFX engine I am planning on transplanting in my TT LLT, along with a picture of those Accel coils.

Lookin good! So when it's time for me to grab a set of pistons, will Diamond be able to make me a run of these pretty easily now?

Looking good Monty, I'm exited to see if you can make that work. It looks like it's going in a time machine!

I don't see why not. It should be in their system now and they have a part number. I'm going to try to to mock up a piston and rod tomorrow and make sure there aren't any clearance issues before I give everything to the machine shop.

Was wondering the same thing but would need a good set of rods to go with them.
Hint Hint Jason.

Go ahead and take your time, Thunder Valley stripped all the rubber off the track for this BS "No Prep" fad going on. It is going to take months to get the rubber back into the track and you will spin out unless you have wide slicks on the car.

I may have missed it, but how are you going to go about tuning? GPI?

That's the plan, going to put it on the trailer and go to Arkansas. Its only a 5 hour drive. I need to break in the motor before I go though, which I'm a little worried about since I'm dropping the compression from 11.5:1 to 10.5:1. Aaron said I should be ok with the tune I have as long as I stay out of WOT. I just want to make sure I seat these rings in right and get a good seal. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, not to mention the new high stall convertor. I'm sure things probably need to be changed for that too. Really need to talk to a tuner about it all before I start her up.

By the way, I'm brewing up an idea that's going to cause me to need dished pistons, so I'll see if Diamond can simply modify yours to work.

Let me know when you are coming and I'll try to take off work and watch the beast come alive.

What could cause you to need dished pistons? I lowered my compression all the way down to 10.5 and still running a domed piston.

Plus the topography of the piston is important, especially with fuel being introduced right on top of the piston. We kept it just like stock just with a smaller dome.
