If you want 500 - 550 you will need a cam w/ the maggie. Whipple should do the trick though...

why not consider edelbrock and kb? they also are nice units...edelbrock has some good design with some serious torque...from #,s i have seen no sc has the torque out the box as a edelbrock...i have the kb and would put it up against any sc out there...but just wanted to throw that these 2 sc are worth mentioning.. i am dyno 560rwhp with 519rwtq..with no lts...approx 7lbs boost.. you should be in the 500rwhp range with any sc on a l99...lts will get you another 20-30 hp and help your sc breathe a little easier

The cam is not much more expensive, but it's what you do w/ lifters and such that drives the price up. Pulling heads etc.

Should be an extra $3,500 for swapping lifters and the whole enchalada...

There are a few people with L99's that have collapsed the stock lifters. I would recommend swapping the cam and lifters...

Plenty of numbers from the maggie and the VVT cam will get you over the 500 mark w/ the L99 right in line w/ the numbers you want.

If you do a cam get rid of the lifters... however they do make a mild, lifter friendly VVT cam.
The lifters w/ the stock cam also run this risk...
