SJM line lock VS convertible strut tower brace

First and foremost let me send a shout out to Speed Inc. for their insanely great price o this WITH free shipping, I saved about $25 going through them and I had it on my door step in a couple of days!

Now, I'm guessing I'm one of the first to try installing this on a convertible or a coupe with the GM strut tower brace (STB) installed. It looked like it was going to be a tight fit, but having been modding LSx cars for about 12 years now I'm sure I could make it work.

The instructions are very easy to follow and strait forward. They come printed as a booklet with each page being half of the paper in landscape mode. At first glance i thought the pictures were going to be too small, but they weren't. The instructions were fine, I wouldn't change a thing.

I took off the STB for room to work and bolted everything up the exact way the instructions said. It was a very good fit and looked great. I went to put the strut tower brace back on and it was a NO GO. The SJM line going from the ABS block to the line lock solenoid was interfering with the STB. It was a relatively easy fix. I just moved one of the lines around a little bit, a bend here, a twist there and it fit perfectly.

You just have to Move the inlet line over between the second and third line instead of the first and second. The outlet you can just install and bend over until it clears.

This is how the SJM fits on cars with out the GM STB

Here is the pics of my install.
The first pic is installed as is and you can see how the STB won't clear the line. The STB was about 2" from where it was supposed to be.
The rest of the pics are after I moved and tweaked the lines.

Although, a different brand I have a strut tower brace as well I may have to do some adjustments as well.

Where did you place the switches?

Good job.

I like the stock sleeper look so I used the cruise control button and hid the rocker switch/LED that came with the SJM kit in my A/C vent.

That's a cool idea. I'm thinking of getting a totally different black switch (size of a nickel) with a built in LED. I'll place it in the pillar pod, and I'll get the momentary switch that is mounted on the shifter shaft.
Where did you put the momentary switch?

I used the cruise control cancel button. Click on that link, it shows you how to do it.

Yeah. I heard of that option. I rather keep the systems separate. But, that is a great idea.
I also like where you have the primary switch too in the vent, I just prefer to have it done the quickest easiest way possible.
