Strut Tower Brace? Phadt or Anyone Elses

Hi guys I was looking into buying a Strut Tower Brace I was thinking of buying Phadts I watched their video and thought the brace maybe beneficial. Does anyone have a Strut Tower brace and what did you notice? I noticed a difference on other cars I had but I am wondering on the SS. What have you noticed with yours is steering feel better? Or did you notice nothing and it is just cosmetic?

Do you have any suspension mods on it now? If not, i'd start somewhere else. Sways and bushings would be on my list LONG before you start needing bracing.

This. The strut tower brace is beneficial but there are much bigger gains to be had, it is usually one of the later suspension mods. Also keep in mind, all of the strut tower braces available for the Camaro require drilling.

I have the Hotchkis brace, which came as part of the Hotchkis Race Pack I purchased and installed on my car. I installed the springs, swaybars, endlinks, chassis brace, and strut tower brace all at once, which made a big difference in the car, but I can't tell you what the strut tower brace would do by itself. My guess would be very little on it's own, much bigger improvements would be made with a stiffer rear sway bar and lowering the car on stiffer springs.

If you have a supercharger or think you might get one, ask the manufacturers whether their bar will allow clearance, since you are going to be drilling holes to install it. The Hotchkis bar has the clearance and comes with a little bracket to relocate a Magnacharger intercooler reservoir if you go that route.

Cosmetically, it looks nice under the hood.

I would recommend starting with springs, sways & endlinks. Then add in the strut tower brace and chassis brace.

if you are looking to change it for looks, then the Pfadt part looks nice.
If you are doing it for a performance upgrade, and you've had other cars that needed the braces, save your money for now and invest in suspension upgrades, your Camaro is well built and doesn't require any braces at this point.

I didn't see any suspension mods in your signature and would agree with the majority here. Swaybars, rear cradle bushings, and trailing arms would probably be my first mods unless you are looking at the brace more as a cosmetic mod.

As far as I know there are are only 3 braces on the market, ours and the two others listed above. In case you were not familiar with our brace I attached an image below and you can view more details, pics and installation instructions on our site HERE.
