L99 Paddle Shift Lag
I searched for the last 30 minutes and can't find anything on the issue I have. When using the paddle shifters and shifting near red line my car has a very noticeable 1/2 second lag before up shifting it's almost like it hits the rev limiter for a 1/2 second and then shifts. Is this normal? In S mode it shifts like a champ

I know I shift at 5500 RPM so I will not bounce off the limit. By the time it does shift I am at 6000 RPM.

Unfortunately, what you are experiencing is normal. The tap shifter is not directly wired to the transmission. It goes through the PCM, which accounts for the delay.

Same here. I just make sure I tap shift around 5500-5700 rpm or I'll hit the rev limiter every time.
