To "Bee" or not to "Bee" that is the question.

This is my first post after visiting this site for some time I decided to ask this question.

I have a Rally Yellow on order and am not sure if I should put a black stripe on it. I would be interested in finding out from others who have done this how they feel about their decision. Are you getting too much attention, comments, etc......

For the record.... I saw the Transformer movies with my wife and we loved both movies.

I am prepared to answer questions if people ask where the stripe is.....

"My car has not fully transformed yet..."
"My car is still young and has not earned his strips yet..."

Your thoughts?

I have not Bee'd my Bee Bee yet but she will get full stripes painted on her this fall. Gloss Black.

Basically my son wants her to look like Bumble Bee. Myself she is fine with just the Gill's being done.

Personally I am not gonna have any stripes waiting to put on it when it gets here but it will eventually get striped. Probably be bumble bee style but not sure yet. It will get stripes though because i think it needs something to break up the yellow. I'm sure everyone will call it the transformers car and some people will even say your a loser for copying transformers and all of that is to be expected. I don't look at it as copying though since I know and most of us on here know the BB is a totally different color paint. I see it as kinda paying homage to BB if I choose to go with that style of striping. I am a huge transformers fan, I grew up watching them but thats not the main reason I choose to buy my camaro.

...I wonder if anyone's going to put Rally Yellow stripes on a black Camaro? Sort of an anti-'Bee.

i REALLY liked the car without the stripes once it was in my possesion... but i went ahead with the stripes and I am glad i did.
happy times either way with this car my friend!

i like the stripes long on the car and like the stripes period... i do love bumblebee and it has been fun having a clone.
I even took it to Trans2 at our local drive in... it was a hoot.

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

Seeing the new Bumblebee roll up in "the scene" during Transformers1 totally blew my wife and I away; it was right then and there, that we knew what our next car would look like. The Camaro itself is an attention getter to begin with, being rally yellow magnifies the attention; adding the stripes has given it rockstar status.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an attention hound by any means. We had our car customized because we, and we alone, wanted it that way. But make no mistake, you will attract a ton of attention; especially with the all the movie buzz, popularity, toys, commecials, etc. going on at the moment.

During a road trip to San Diego, we got hung up in bumper-to-bumper, stop-n-go traffic (backed up on both sides) for two hours thru LA. We were on the inside lane, so everyone coming the other way got a real good look at the car, and boy did they ever. It was crazy attention. I had to have seen the word "bumblebee" by reading lips literally hundreds of times that day.

So if too much attention makes you uncomfortable, you may want to let the movie buzz die down a bit, except then the DVD will be out in several months, and then a third movie is likely, and so on. But for my wife and I, any discomfort we may have with too much attention, it wasn't going to get in the way of realizing our dreams. Besides, driving by kids and watching their faces light up as you can see them say "bumblebee" is really something special and never gets old.

No regrets here...

RumbleBeeSS, Thanks for your insight. This helps... I appreciate your perspective. Do you suppose that you are the one that caused all of the traffic

Don't get the stripes....you'll have the rarest car on the road, a yellow without stripes. I'm kinda over seeing a million bumblebee replicas, it's lost it's luster to me.

Bumblebee's got a BIG family

Can you imagine the noise if ALL the 2010 Camaros built to date were all revving in the same place at the same time?

If you go with the stripes and if you have the money to then I would go with glossy black! when I picked mine up they was putting the rally stripes with hockey puck stripe on yellow SS. After they installed the hockey stripe and sent her picture of it she told them to take the stripes off. It did look awesome though! I just think glossy stripes look so much better than the flat black stripes! Also another reason I like the painted ones is they take them all way down to end of hood and not just stop it at end were mail slot is. But thats just my 2 cents. Get what you like since you are going to be the one looking at her everyday! But definatly post some before and after pictures of it! The yellow is my 2nd favorite color next to IOM but it is sick! I just wish they would have gave the yellow the option for yellow interior or at least the yellow stitching like bumble bee was in TF2.
