cost to install a Maggie?

Ok, question, living up here in the NW USA we have limited shop choices, what is the cost to install a maggie kit say from like SLP or other venders?

Say I buy a kit, have it sitting in the trunk, drive car or ship to you, you swap out and I drive /ship back. Just cost to install and make it turn key?

Or can someone with good knowledge install one of these kits? with the hand held tuner and make it right? or am I asking for problems?

2010 Black 2SS/RS 6 sp
new springs and sway bars, lowered
Custom wheels and tires
Borla axle back
Airraid CAI
Custom painted GFX

Just need the SC install and a stripe and it should be ready for the spring time

Call Lingenfelter Performance Engineering in Decatur Indiana they will be able to help. People from all over ship cars to them to install Superchargers. They are also one of the best in the business.

im planning on doing mine.. and im no "certified mechanic". What you should do is look over these instructions and see if you have the tools and the know how to get it done.

Install would rang from $1000 - $1500 in Ca. Sending your car out and having it shipped is REDICULOUS.

I road tripped and brought my car home from LPE. I don't see how having a great company like LPE to install their package for a couple thousand extra over parts is bad? I don't ever have to get in my car and wonder if it is tuned right. It is a peace of mind.

Honestly it will vary by shop.
I have been offering free installs with forced induction kits if you pay retail price....

But other shops I have spoken with charge about 750 to install. You are talking about 2 days of labor to be up and running including a full tune.

supercharger

yes I have a SLP kit, trying to make a ZL575 without shipping car across the country to do it. My car only has 82 miles on it? so not sur it is in my best interest to try? but the instructions seem pretty straight forward

Thanks, I went with the 10 rib front and the 14 rib rear drive for the supercharger. We built up the engine with lots of goodies. Then to achieve the boost levels and hp that I have requested we must use a much larger belt drive to prevent belt slippage. See the attached pics. I personally believe that every penny that I spent was money well spent with LPE. You get what you pay for. I like the experience that LPE has with building engines.

The instructions always make it sound easy. I personally don't trust myself to work on things like this it's a2010 Camaro Engine. I figured it like this, I could probably paint my own house right but I surely coudn't do it as good as a professional.

The only difference is the parts only go on one way. I was nervous the first time I swapped my ls1 intake for an ls6, but after swaping motor after motor and trans after trans after trans its easy. It just fear of messing up the first time. Usually you mess up when your relaxed and think you know what your doing and you forget to tighten shit. But when your nervous you check things like 4 times.

No - I paid a little bit more to have them install the s/c, fuel injectors, Borla Cat Back exhaust, Pedders Coilovers, KB Boost a pump, CAI, and professional dyno tune - oh yeah and the 3yr/36k warranty on the engine and s/c.

It seems well worth it to me. Did you give yourself a warranty and dyno tune it yourself too?? I don't have a dyno laying around and the shops around here I wouldn't trust with my bicycle....

Feel free to contact me by email, by phone or PM to validate your post. It is easy to figure the total cost involved with our shop rate, the time and parts involved to build a car as we would build it, and back it with our warranty. I encourage you to inform yourself before bashing our name. Just a manifold swap could not be further from the truth. There is the right way to do it, and then over a hundred wrong ways to do it. We don't just slap it on, throw in the magnuson cal and ship it. We spend time with each individual car, and make sure its 100% right in every aspect before they go home. Seems that a lot of people are eager to post and highlight their accomplishments, and "great price points", but they sure don't like to share their failures when things go wrong, and stand behind them.
