Ed Peper on the production Camaro "I can't tell a difference"
Ed Peper on the Camaro from the Chicago Autoshow: "I'm looking at the production version in the design studio, and I can't tell the difference."
That is what I like to hear! Check it out, it is a great interview. He talks about the Camaro after the Volt... http://www.podtech.net/home/technolo...olt-and-camaro |

That tells me the engineers are doing a great job of making the Camaro production ready, meeting all the regulations they have to meet, and not compromising the design much!

Well that sux.... link not working for me.
http://www.podtech.net/home/?s=volt+and+camaro Anyway, I got it to work. That's some great information there that we won't be able to tell the difference...just about. Also, that's good news about the Volt as well. 40 miles w/out using a drop of gas??? That's very much like me. I drive to work and back every day...about 12 miles per day. Of course, there's extra driving as well. But, that would save a ton in gas!!! |

But, despite how nice it would be to use very little gas, I want a Camaro. The person I live with might be willing to get a Volt though (his ride to work is 25 miles one way, so he'd just use a tiny bit of gas). So we could use his car for errands instead of mine (like we do now). LOL |

Seriously. That is a great idea. I never really thought about not being reliant on gas anymore until he said you can do 40 miles w/out a drop of gas. I fill up about every 8 or 9 days. With that car, I wouldn't have to fill up but once every 6 months! That's a rough estimate of $520 in gas savings per 6 months. Not bad at all. But even better that we are not reliant on the middle east for our "addiction".

And think about this, the generator doesn't need to run on gasoline. You can put ethanol in it. Completely killing the US's dependence on foreign oil. I love it!!!
Plus it looks good too! |

Hell yeah, it looks good! I'd love to see it in person. Ed said that it could change some....hope they don't do too much to it.

To be quite honest the only two things I'm not liking too much is the interior (It looks a little too futuristic), and the rear wheel-wells, it looks like it has severely bow-legs. Other than that though, I say "right on" GM!!!!

I dont like the way the rear looks either but that volt would do me a lot of good. I think I drive about 50 miles a day. And to think I wanna move further away from work. :(

if there is goin to be seats in the back the interior will definitely change
imagine being in the back and the driver has to break suddenly to avoid a crash and you go flying in to the back of that plastic seat:( you would be pretty messed up this is a concept i think will change alot in production

I'm SO spoiled now only having to go 3.5 miles (less than 10 minutes if I can make all green lights). I barely get to work on time as it is. Further away and I'd be fired! |

I live 70miles away from work... fortunately, I only make that trip about three times a week round trip... but I dont mind a bit driving that far to work... and if I really cared alot about gas mileage, I know where the 40mpg cars are... but I continue to drive my '96 Silverado back and forth to work because its 270k miles old and keeps on running like a champ!
