Turn signal noise

okay, first of all, im not totally sure if this is a "General" section worth topic.
if its not, feel free to move it, but i didint know where else to put it, since its kinnnda audio, but not really, its more of a, general question.

So the other day, I started my car, and the blinker (turn signal) was on from pulling into my drive way the night before. and then i noticed, the blinker was silent, until the door "ding ding ding" went off. So i later confirmed that the blinker noise and the ding ding could not coexists, so the blinker noise must be simulated, but does it come out of the driver side door speaker? or is there a speaker that is specifically for that? and this is the first i have noticed this in any car (have had suspicions previously) so had long have auto makers been fooling us with fake flasher noises?

and does this mean the turn signal is a solid state system opposed to a mechanical flasher? and if a blub burns out, is there any indication like the faster speed of the earlier mechanical ones?

Not sure about mechanical versus solid state, but I do know that you'll get a warning on the display if your signal goes out. I would imagine that it would also flash doubly quickly, but I haven't had the opportunity to see it yet.

It is simulated through the stereo, comes from the driver door only. Backup warning comes through the rear speakers only.

I saw in a different thread that the DIC had a "bulb burned out" warning. Check right rear bulb or something to that effect. See link.
