Got a dent.. how??

Well I was looking at my car yesterday along the side and low and behold I saw a dent! Yeah it's a dent alright. I keep my car in the garage every night and I park in tinbucktoo everytime I go anywhere so all I can figure is someone leaned on it at the tint shop last month when I went to get the windows done! I have been sooooo upset about this for days but I guess I need to get over it so I can get on with enjoying this awesome machine but it really bums me out. Every time I look at it my eyes go right to the dent! I have had my truck for almost 2 years without a single ding but my camaro only 4 months and this already! I took pics but you cannot see anything in the pics you have to move around and catch it in the right light but when you do its glaringly obvious. It's kinda like too small to wasted money fixing so I guess I have to live with it! Do any of you have this happen and how did you get back in the right frame of mind so as to enjoy your car and not let it bug so much? Thanks.

Mory

P.S. The dent is very small but it is on the right front fender above the "O" in the camaro emblem.

I know you said you can't see it in the pic, but you didn't say where the ding was. Anyway, I also was bummed for a while, and I guess the only way I got back in the right frame of mind was that I figured "ok, first ding out of the way, time to move on". And, you might be the same, but nobody notices it on mine, but I sure as hell do!! Sorry this happened to you!

Ever notice parking in Timbuck-too attracts other cars to park there.. LOL I have gone out of my way in a somewhat empty parking lot to park away from everything. Come out of the building and the parking lot is still empty except for my car and some a-hole that parked next to me... Wayyyyyyyyyyy on the other end of the parking lot where you almost need binoculars to see.. LOL

It's never a nice car either. They always look like a serial killers econoline van..

Your first ding is out of the way..... Breath easy now.

Well maybe not a good way to look at it, but just a little easier on the mind and heart!

Last year I was getting out of my freshly waxed 1SS and I used my left hand on the door sill to hold myself up. My hand slipped and the clasp from my stainless steel watch band put a really good scrape in the paint. It is a car and inevitably it will get scratched. all that you can do is minimize the chances of that happening and accepting it when it does. I ignore it now. What else can I do? I am not going to get the door jamb repainted and I still love the car.

Touch up paint, buffer, and some TLC could probably erase that scratch.. or most of the evidence.

Amen on the econoline van or a POS in general. The only time I had a nice car park next to me Bum F*@K Egypt, was a 2007 Mustang GT. It was a pretty nice looking car. As I was getting in my Camaro, the guy came running up to me and said "I hope you don't mind I parked next to you. I knew there was no way in hell, you would ding my car." Then he proceeds to tell me his next big purchase will be a 2011 2SS. There is a sliver of hope in a vast sea of A-Holes!

While it's not the same I got my first rock chip in the window last night, and I was pretty upset for a few minutes. I then calmed myself down and said the first rock chip is out of the way. I also remember the day after having the clear bra put on I parked at the gym at an end parking spot, and some guy parked next to me (illegally) and when he opened his door he hit my mirror and it took a big chunk of the clear bra off the mirror. I was just happy that my installer fixed it for free. The first scratch/dent is always the hardest.
