New guy

Just wanted to say hello. New guy here just bought a 2011 LT1/RS Convertible last month. Loving it way to much for it to be legal! Look forward to reading up on the car and sharing my thoughts and gaining knowledge!

Thanks! Looks like I will be doing a 5th bow repair/replacement this spring. I guess it could be worse. I can't complain I have a car that is almost 7 years old with just 47 grand on the odometer. A little work on it is not going to kill me ...lol

Just sent an email to the dealer I bought it from since I am within the 60 day warranty window from when I bought it. Gonna see what they say about it. Fingers crossed!

Question, was thinking if I am going to have to keep replacing the 5th Bow brackets , would buying a whole new top and frame from a 2013 fit the 11?? I can get a used top and frame complete for about 500 bucks and do the work myself..

Welcome
You just have to put the newer style 5th bow in once. The new style bracket is beefier.
Also here are a few threads that might interest.
Regards and have fun, you made a fine choice...
