Two weeks with my (new to me) 13' ZL1
Hey guys, I've had my ZL1 for two weeks now, and I must say the car just puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key. As most articles have stated, the ZL1 hides it's size and weight very well, and I completely agree with that. The more I drive it, the smaller it feels, lol. It handles beautifully, and the power is just fantastic (instantaneous & linear). I have really grown accustomed to the small windows (and to some) poor visibility, and have no problems with it. The only gripes I have, are the skip shift and hill assist. I've learned how to avoid the skip shift, and that is to give her a little extra throttle when starting out in 1st. Drive it like a nanny, and skip shift rears it's ugly head, lol. Hill assist I can live with, but I feel it stays on a tad too long... All in all the car is fantastic, and is the first performance car I've owned that I'm completely satisfied leaving 100% stock. Just thought I'd share my experience with this wonderful machine thus far.

Good review thanks. Classic color car too. No sports car to a m6 ZL1 that is quite a jump. You didn't comment on mpg
![]() I wish they would make a sticky of these reviews. They summarize what this car is all about. Many times we get sidetracked on which is a better car the Z06 Z28 1LE that is about the best track vehicle most of us don't need or want really for the street. I'm not disparaging those awesome vehicles for what they are, just sayin' |

I had a 300whp Cobalt SS Supercharged, but that car had me always craving more power... My ZL1 as she sits stock has me completely satisfied. I also had a 316wtq 2013 Regal GS, but that car was too quiet and refined for me, haha. Neither of those cars compare to the ZL1 though. |
