Pappy Van Winkle
I’ve got an unopened bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Bourbon from this year. Wondering what it’s worth. I paid a pretty penny for it. Any takers?

I'd love to taste it but I can't bring myself to ever spend that kind of money haha
I seen bottles like this sell well on other Automotive forums, good luck with the sale

I’m not necessarily selling. But if the price were right I’d probably let it go. As much as I spent on it, I would have a hard time opening it. I’d rather save it. Know what I mean?

Official website shows it MSRP for $60. Another website I saw it showed $39.99 but I don't know if it was available to order. Is this supposed to be rare/hard to get your hands on? If not - then its about on par with Bookers bourbon or most mid range scotch like a 12 Macallans or an 18 Glenlivit

It’s extremely rare. Very tough to get. Ask around.

Just bought the same bottle as a gift recently, paid $450.
It's really nothing to save and its nothing too special....more just hype. Get some friends together and have some drinks or sell it before the hype is over. |

Holy shit! What is the back story for this stuff? I have never in my life heard of a $60 product selling for $450 due to supply constraints. That's like Nintendo Wii on release year crazy when people were buying them on ebay for $1000 before Christmas. Ive drank a lot of whiskey under $100 - but I would imagine at $450/bottle you could start getting into some seriously crazy nice stuff.
