I just bought both. This will give me something to do this winter instead of just sitting in the garage looking at my car.

I haven't built a plastic model for over 40 years. I'll have to see what's out there for model paints that are compatible with the plastic. I would think that an actual solvent based auto paint might build to much on the surface and you'd lose some of the detail on the parts. Also I don't know if the solvents in an auto paint are compatible with the model materials. If it is, I would think it would have to be thinned down quite a bit so it doesn't build to thick. I think a good quality gloss black plastic model paint will be a close enough match to my car.

I got mine in less then 2 weeks. Quality is excellent. The most detailed model parts I have seen. The Revell Camaro from Germany took one week to get here. I am practicing on a couple other models before I attempt this one.
