Forced induction thread

So I think there are a few guys running superchargers on here. Wanted to see what people were using for forced induction and what kind of numbers people were putting down.

Also list supporting mods to the engine. Re-sleeved or not or different block and so on.

My mod list is below.

My current set up "peaked" at 855 rwhp and then we detuned to where it sits now which is 748 rwhp. I wanted to see what it could do before I split the cylinders. The plan is to either sleeve the block, go with a Dart block or put a 427 LSX block in it and upgrade the procharger to an FX. Id like to get 1100 rwhp out of it. Plans are to also cage it and go with a Moser solix axle rear.

Fore Fuel System with dual 450's

Moser axle sounds like a must have for that kind of power. What about a clutch to handle all that? Wouldn't a Dart block hold up better than sleeving? Just some random thoughts and I am trying to learn.

McLeod clutch.

A billet block is always going to be stronger than a sleeved block but Im not planning on making over 1100. I realize thats a lot of cylinder pressure and thats the concern but sleeved blocks can make upwards of 1500 with no issues. Honestly the choice comes down to money. You can find a donor block and sleeve it for less than $1500 versus the Dart or LSX block and spend your money elsewhere. My top end is complete. All I can see doing now is the block and procharger upgrade. So for me the money saved could go towards that or beefing up the rear.

One thing to keep in mind for anyone new out there considering this is that you dont need to go this far to have fun. Personally unless you are going to race it why supercharge it. Heads, cam and an intake will get you lots of bottom end fun and looks wherever you go! And everyone knows these things arent drag cars but thats why Im building it. I want it to do what it cant do. Not that Im trying to discourage anyone from a whipple or procharger! Its easy bolt on power and spins up in a hurry. But again Id rather have the bottom end grunt and chop of a nasty cam than a whine coming from under the hood. Funny, when I show it most people are marveled by the fact I procharged a Z28 rather than everything else it has SMH....
