Tires for the track on a ZL1LE
Its time for the track, have a new set of OEM rimes and was going to order tires for the set of rimes, after spending 3 hr on tirerack i think the best is for me to get the Hoosier A7 in the OEM for the rear and 315/30/19 upfront, there the closest in Sect. Width and Tread Width to the OEM, i know some of you may have more to say so go for it, i put the order in 2 days, first track day for me is 3 weeks from now.

i just did streets of willow CW in my ZLE and the stock tires were awesome ran them 26psi cold and they got up to 33 psi hot and managed a 1:22.7 first time in the car. Definitely can do a 1:19 on streets of willow CW with more seat time. Only issue was it was 45F and tires took 3 laps to warm up before that they were like ice. i do have 2 sets of nitto nt01 in 305 and 325 waiting for stock tires to go.

Let me clarify, first track day and you want A7's?
Regardless, I wouldn't recommend an A7. You'll get an awesome flyer out of those and win the track day, for sure, but they will go downhill from there and won't last you very many heat cycles. If you are dead set on a pair of Hoosiers, at least go for the R7's.

if you have a dedicated set of wheels, id go with the hoosiers.
it may take a long time to heat them up without tire warmers. February is pretty much the coolest month for most of the US. i wont be going until april most likely.

A7 require nearly ZERO warm up. But if you aren’t an expert racer buy an R compound. They will be cheaper, last longer, and not go any slower than you would on a slick.

Not Ofer's first track day....or first rodeo.....
I think he meant first one this season. You guys in the Southwest and Cali are lucky.....long off-season here in the Midwest! Ofer, I'm running 315/30/19 front and 325/30/19 rear R7's and they are the bomb. Agree with others.....unless you're doing AutoX.....I'd do the R7's. You'll get about 20 heat cycles out of them. Awesome grip. Let me know how it goes!!

That makes more sense, haha. I'll be on that 315/325 R7 bandwagon soon enough.
