I was just browsing the 9/21 TPW thread for encouragement. It seems that next Monday, we will all be bemoaning our cars sitting on trains somewhere. I can't wait!

I saw an ABM in the stripe queue photo from the Oshawa visit thread. I wonder if we'd get VINs before stripes?

hate to go off topic guys but I was just perusing the CSX website and it has a transit time calculator on the site that you might find interesting once you're on a train. I couldn't figure out how to get an eta from Oshawa to Nashville so i tracked from Syracuse to Nashville--a four day train ride

So if it takes a couple days to get to Syracuse (assuming they take the straightest route

) ought to be waiting on a truck by Wednesday

Yes you would get a vin before stripes.

looks like mine is on a rail car in toronto, the voice tracking says the rail car arrived on oct 4 but it doesn't have an ETA. GM is still not showing my VIN number.

John - how did you figure out you are shipped and don't see a VIN yet. Is the GM deal based on their website?

First I got the VIN from VIZ, he will report status daily, just enter your order number in this thread

and he will give you the 3300 or whatever, if it's built he will also list the VIN number. Once you get VIN then go to this thread

and enter your VIN and it will be updated daily with information like when it's shipped and what rail car it's in. Then check the rail tracking thread for details on calling the automated rail line.

As for GM VIN info I just goto this page

Thanks John. Just mis-understood part of that. I am sitting in Oshawa pending stripes, but mine has not shown up on the GM site either. Can't wait to be able to print out that information from them. Hopefully the site will update tonight and show them tomorrow.

I read in another thread somewhere that sometimes the sticker showing up on the GM site is really variable, some times not until it's near delivery so we will just have to see. Interesting that I haven't heard a status update from my dealer yet, this site is great for getting information about camaros.

Holy crap... Just got an email from my dealer I got a vin number

Just rolled out of the plant and waiting for stripes and I guess not sure how long that will be just hope its before Friday for shipping..

Sweet Im so happy.. Ok the rest of you should also have your vins too.. call your dealers...
