Best Clutch upgrade?
Stock clutch just isn't working for life at the track. Probably by some fault of my own, but I think you would all agree the clutch need to be upgraded. Center force was mentioned before-looking for anyone who has changed out their stock one with some feedback.
I had a couple of Corvette guys at the track last night come up and we talked about the problems they had with the stock clutch and how much better their 60' times have gotten after switching to something a little stronger. Anyone? |

Lingenfelter is coming up with something soon. I am not sure if they have finished yet but I will be looking into this for next year.

We use a lot of spec systems, which are available for you car!
How much power (in torque) is your Camaro Producing? Or how much do you plan on it producing. Then how to you want the clutch to feel or launch? This will help shrink the window of clutch options for you. There are a lot available on our web page here http://www.ipsmotorsports.net/index....3531_3800_3841 Regards |

Currently have about 450 ft lbs torque. Probably a supercharger or Nos system over the winter/spring.
Mostly street driven, go to strip 2-3 times a month. Don't want to lose drivability. I am looking to be able to get the most out of my car at the track. |

I would get a street SPEC twin disc or a stage 3+ single for that much power. The twin disc will certainly have less clutch pedal pressure, and a lighter rotational mass.

Spec 3+ has always been goof to me. Good price and holds great power.

I'm also interested in seeing what options are out there for the 2010 Camaro SS M6... Before I got my Camaro SS I use to have a charger SRT8 that I took to the track every week, my SRT8 was a low 12 second car and my daily driver and that's what I have planned for my Camaro. How much torque can our stock clutches take before we start looking at a possible replacement?

I will be taking it easy on the modding of my car at first, I'll start by doing a few boltons first (catback, headers, high flow cats, 160 tstat, CAI or Ram AIR and a tune). I just don't know if I will really need to go to a stronger clutch just for boltons. |
