I am also looking... I've looked up a few packages on tirerack.com and I think they will be hard to match locally, from my experience. Let us know pricing..

Call Allen at 416-916-9233, and ask for a quote on whatever tire ur looking for. my personaly fav are the Bridgestone Winterforce. they are very impressive in ice, snow, slush, and dry roads. only litle negative is that they are a bit noisy when drving on dry roads. tell allen, joe from toronto mazda3 sent u. btw hes located in thornhill, on 515 champagne drive. off finch and duffrin. u guys gotta rember hes gona be SUPER busy, hes alredy hooking up 89 cars from the toronto mazda3 group alone. just call, get a quote and book a apointment.

I finally went with the Pirelli Scorpion Ice 18 " package from Tirerack. All in all, tires, mags, sensors, valves, rings, centers... and mounting/balancing was about 1750$US shipped. Couldn't find anything even remotely close, price wise, around here. It shipped Friday, so I'll probably get them this week or beginning of next week. Yep, that's about 4-6 weeks before my car... Argh....

I just ordered from tire rack as well. 18" 5 spoke rims w/ michelin x-ice tires. came to $1780 USD all in (shipping included). My dealer couldn't come close to this price (below their cost). Should be here in about a week. From everyone I talked to, to get wheels and tires you were looking at pretty much $2k. Tirerack was the best I could find. Just some food for thought.

If there's an option for one or two steps narrower, and taller for the tire, and has the load rating, I'd suggest that for a winter tire...
Skinny tires do better for winter. |

Hello from Montreal, fellow Canadians. I started a thread on VERY high prices my Chevy dealer quoted me on the trunk mat, lock nuts, mud guards and a winter wheel/tire kit. I adding some more information here about what I was told about winter tire sizes for the 2010 Camaro. I ordered a 2LT and will run 19" OEM rims with the tires that the car comes with for Summer and the 18" Heritage Steel wheels for Winter.
I specifically asked my salesman at the time of purchase to ASK GM engineering/parts dept to confirm the THINNEST tire size for my Camaro for Winter as I wanted best traction. He told me (finally) that the parts dept told me that the minimum size that GM recommends is: P235/55R18, or 2% thinner than OEM. I have trouble beleiving this, but I have to take it as I am told. I have written GM a few times and they have been very good in getting back to me quickly. I am still waiting to see what they say about my prices, as I have asked them to "do better". Anyone have ANY confirmations from other GM dealers about how THIN the tires can be? What sizes are you, my fellow canucks, putting on YOUR cars? I will post what GM tells me as it happens! thanks! eB

235 wide tire should work on the heritage rim... They're only 7.5 inches wide.
Tires have a range of rim widths they can fit on. You'll have to go to the manufacturers website or tirerack, to find out the range a specific tire is good for. |

Sigma, you dealer said that 225's were good but what was the rest of that tire spec? P225/55 R18? or P225/45 R18? /65? /75? All specs are important regarding the aspect, width, size and offset. Thanks if you remember! Did you buy them for Winter? You in a Snow/winter area as well? eB
