My ZL1 is bone stock, it's an M6 on stock tires. If it's a 75+ day and I've driven 10 or so miles on the tires so they're warmish, it will hook pretty good in first, it spins once you get above 5,000 RPM, and then chirp second hard but then 2nd usually is a dead hook. Now if the temperature is below 60, it will spin 3rd gear no problem. This is all with TC on/Regular sport mode. 4300# convertible.

Man this thread got interesting since I first started it. I didn’t even know it was going still.
I ended up gong with the JRE 750 smooth idle can package. Runs like stock. Has a little shakey idle but only if you are paying attention. No issues with it at all. Love the power delivery. Problem is I can’t keep the power down at all now. Looking for a different tire set up. Started another thread for that. Overall I am very pleased with the results. |
