Anyone with a maggie running this firewall cover?

I have some damage to the insulation on the firewall that I have looking at and I saw this aluminum cover is available. Before ordering I wanted to see if anyone with a Maggie jackshaft style blower is using this as I would like to be sure it will work before buying a $200+ piece. My concern is the rear cog drive and coolant lines back there being in the way. Any help is appreciated.

Don’t have a Maggie have Centri but interested in Fit /Installation of that Piece as well. Usually not one for any bling but that would look so much better than the shredded Firewall material have now. Hope someone can help you here.🙂

I placed an order the other day for it as I decided to take a risk and give it a shot. I may end up having to do some cutting to make it work but hopefully I can make it work either way. We shall see.

I have that full under hood polished kit except for the firewall piece, I wasn't sure if it would clear the rear cog drive setup so I never got it, I will be waiting to hear back on if it works so I can get one and finish out my engine bay.

I am certain I will be able to modify it and make it work but I know it will not bolt right on the car unless stock. From looks of things I will be trimming quite a bit off of it but long as when I am done it hides the damaged part of my firewall insulation it will be all worth it.

Let us know how it works once you have it installed and running for some time!

Yes please. Would probably Powdercoat it black here. Can't see in this pic they took, but firewall material is tore up pretty good. May just be me but eye is drawn right to it when open the Hood. Shouldn't be too much an issue fitting one in there.

My plan is to hydro coat it once I have it trimmed and fitted to work with my application. Just got it last night so hoping to start the fitting process this week sometime. Looking at your application you probably could use it as is. My upgraded fuel system lines and hoses from the Maggie are all back there where this goes.

Well, I did some cutting and test fitting and I ended up having to trim quite a bit off. IT was late so I did not get any pics of it on the car but I am taking the piece to my hydrocoat guy tomorrow to get done. It is gonna hide most of my damage. Far as other people's application, note that even with me cutting to work for my car it is a very tight fit getting it into position so I can only imagine how much of a PIA it would be if I could of used it as is. I used 2 (1.5 actually lol) cutting wheels trimming so before you start keep that in mind if you don't have an extra. I will post pics once I get it back and put on. Hoping the dip will work, if not I will just paint is ABM. Also to help clean up the look, I bought some edging trim from Camaros of Michigan to go over where I cut it.

Side note, if you are not able to use the piece and have to cut to make it fit, the finish it comes in will most likely not work as it had some discoloring where I cut so plan on having it painted, dipped, powder coated.

Well I got the piece back from paint. It will be next weekend before I will be able to add the edging on the side I cut and put it on the car
