The lamest comments I hear are from fellow Camaro owners and it usually revolves around the V8 guys denigrating the V6 owners.

My boss told me this morning I look like a douchebag pulling up to the jobsite in my car this morning. I told him ill take looking like a douchebag over driving a blue Nissan versa hatchback ( what he drives ) any day of the week.

No doubt... Maybe the V6 guys should tease us for only having one Cam that would be a good come back.

I don't slag on anyone's car regardless of cylinders or make. I really like Mustangs and Challengers too. I might even consider a Chally other than I don't think it would fit in my garage during the winter.

I've gotten this more than once: "Oh it's an automatic..."

Not sure why but apparently if your car (any car) is an automatic then it sucks where I live. The guys that have said this to me aren't very knowledgeable about cars, either.

That's at least partly another hold-over from the early to mid 1960's when automatics really weren't as good (performance-wise) as the MTs, and as a result picked up a luxury/commuter/un-sporty image as a result. The new A8's and A10's really don't deserve being treated like the old A2's, A3's, and A4's were.

WTF. Where did that comment come from? Unless he really loves your car and you were driving it into a dirt and rock invested construction site, and therefore he was angry at you for bringing such a fabulous car to such an area. Other than that, I would have called him a jealous dirt bag.

Nah, its a freshly paved lot. Hes just not a car guy. Hes a firm believer in the fact that a cars sole purpose is to get you from point A to point B. He thinks guys like me, with what he considers a flashy car are just douchey. I just smile.

I brought mine into the office one day last year which I rarely do as I have a company truck to drive. There's a guy in my office and a couple of the slightly older office ladies(40's) outside getting some fresh air. I pull in and the guy says my car just screams mid-life crisis.

I asked him what his Hyundai screamed that he was all dead inside?? LOL. The gals though just loved the car saying it was gorgeous. I went with their assessment!

Been on my own for 5 years now. Ex-wife hated the car (had it for about 5 months before we split) girlfriend loves it so that's a win!

The midlife crisis is a pretty negative thing to say to someone. Occasionally if they seem to be saying it in a more mean spirited way instead of joking I'll reply if it's a fat ugly old woman saying it "yeah, I like slim attractive younger women too", if it's a guy saying it "yeah sorry your wife is looking so old now but I'm sure she is a nice woman". The stunned looks on their face.

which is no big deal. but i passed his house about 100 one day. haven't hear a word sense...might have something to do with her gf left him an got with me...eh oh well...
