Well AZ is even worse with the stupid speed camera's ALL OVER the freeways here. Atleast CA doesn't have those for now. The speed limit is 55-65 here. Might drive up to MT to fully enjoy my Camaro some day.

Heard from a GM employee on Facebook who checked my order status that my TPW is 10/26! Waiting to hear confirmation from Viz today. Keeping my fingers crossed that the car will be delivered by 11/14, in time for my 30th birthday!

First Production Year closing...

Hey All,

If I understand this correctly, roughly the week of the 19th or the week of the 26th is to be the last production week of the first year. though they will still be 2010's after that, this is to be the end of the first year 2010's.

This is the response I got from my dealer when I asked him a few questions and made a few requests of him, ie, only premium fuel, no dealer stickers, no front plate...

Yes your Camaro has a TPW of 10/26/2009. I believe that is at the end of the original production period which was estimated to be the 19th to the 26th.

What this may mean for us is that our cars will be worth more as a collectors items as they are first year production cars of the 5th Gen Camaro. Woo Hoo... Of course I am only guessing here but hey... MAYBE...

I got this reply in response to a request of why my TPW was moved back a week. Again I guess it's logistics, but I was originally quoted 10-19-09. He has never been able to change one, but he is going to talk to the Chev Rep for my area since I am scheduled to return to Brazil for a month about the time our cars should be arriving.

It's not that I don't want to be a part of the 10-26 club, but you guys understand...

as I said, they will still be producing 2010 Camaro's. This is just the end of the "..." first production year. They probably wont start 2011's until October of 2010. I may be wrong but thats the impression I get... First production year cars may be more valuable to collectors someday...

Live in the now.... There is always going to be a new car coming right around the corner. Remind yourself that your getting a brand-new 2010 camaro and its not even november of 2009. I think now is the best time to get a car anyways, because after all these emissions/efficiency nonsense laws get worse, all you will be able to buy is a 4 cylinder plastic car that max's out at 45 mph. I don't want to drive a car that blows bubbles out the back of the tailpipe.
