And now?

Is anybody out there with the latest sc with redesigned spring coupler who not have the rattle issues after replacement? My original sc have almost 30000 miles on it and the rattle is very loud.
My new replacement sc will bi replaced in may. I bought it myself and now i am not sure anymore, if i should replace the spring coupler in the new sc against the solid coupler?
Anybody a good idea?

Then, they redesigned the coupler, going back to a spring loaded coupler, but THIS design was grease packed.

Of course at my age, I probably have it wrong.
I did read that in an old thread, but there was not any photographic evidence to support it (grease packed spring).

The current Eaton replacement part looks solid

I think i will try it for the beginning with the oem coupler which is installed in the new sc. When it will beginns to be noisy, i will change it with the solid.

Interesting, I couldn't find a part # for the grease isolator, so I just purchased the solid Eaton design.

My blower was replaced about 1000 miles ago with the latest design coupler... No issues yet...

My original blower lasted 29k miles before it needed to be replaced.
