Possible Midlife Crisis
After playing some golf today I was passing the local Chevy Dealer, and what to my wondering eyes should appear but a 2010 Camaro 2SS in Imperial Blue Metalic.....with ground effects, sunroof, and white rally stripes.....6 speeed manual even....WOW.
A couple hours later my buddy is driving my truck away and I'm cruising off the lot in the sweetest looking Camaro I have seen yet. Pics tomorrow if I can pry myself away from driving. Anyone on the fence about this car needs to get it.....the perma-grin when you drive it is worth a lot, and I think it has staved off a mid-life crisis for at least a few years. PS...I'm 36 so it might be a little early, but this thing does knock about 15 years off the clock.....an amazing machine....I'm thinking about pulling a Paul Revere and going out for a midnight ride.....I love the HID lights.

Nice... congrats! I am only in my 30s but when I saw the new Camaro I knew I had to have it or face an early midlife crisis!

Congrats.
I knew I had to do something big for myself when I turned 30 in May. So I bought a Camaro. |

I swear, not one day has gone by in three months of owing this beast, someone has not complemented it.

Well I am 52, and its makes me feel like I am 18 again, That is when I bought my first Camaro with the help of my Dad, it was an RS, its the only Camaro I ever had before this one, and had to sell it after 8 years as I had my 2 child on the way, and needed something more "family" like. NOW, I can get back to my roots, and Chevy made a Camaro that is SOOO much better than the first one I had. SO I HAD to get an RS. When I took it to my Dads house for the first time and showed it to him, and I told him that it was all because of him introducing ME to the breed, it brought a tear to his eye and I gave him a big hug.

I bought mine 2 days before my 50th birthday. I bought my first Camaro in 1979 when I was 20. My theme song should be Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days"

Mom had a 67' when I was a baby. Dad had a 77' Z28 when I was in grade school... all my buddies seemed to get them when I was a teenager (while I was driving a 1974 Gran Torino with three 15" rims and one 14") and all the while I was dreaming of the day when I would have my own. I knew the color combination I would get when I was 12. Finally I got mine... Turned 40 in January... had already ordered the car and was just waiting. Definitely a well-earned 40th birthday gift to myself.
My wife calls it a mid-life crisis. I think it takes us this long to get things in our life (finances, family and work) to a place where we can finally and *almost* responsibly fulfill a dream.

No one needs to have a "mid life crisis". Just never grow up like I did. I am 63 and have been driving Camaros for years. I have been a motorcyclist since high school and still am. I am the old guy that will be in the next lane to you at the drag strip. For a real fun time without cops go to your local street night. Enjoy your Camaro. These gen 5 cars are spectacular.

Congrats!! Mid life crisis? Naw! My new Camaro is my 50th birthday present to myself (not 50 until next March). My first ever new car was a 1982 Camaro RS! Black
Enjoy it! And, BTW, it's not a crisis - it's an exploration in life...a revelation...a new awaking. Heck, after working for so long, I wanted something for myself and I'm loving it!

Only midlife crisis would be if you didn't get it, that would have been a crisis!
Congrats on the ride! I agree with you about the HID's, love driving mine at night almost as much as during the day.
