What do you guys think about this 1971?

I think the nose on this one has an extension. Looks like the headlights sit behind the front grille, which is now common in a ton of cars.

i couldn't narrow it to one year since so many are really the same.
i've always said i put the first three gens first because of originality.
after that
6th
5th
4th

except for this refresh, but years from now it may be called 'fake camaro' or something.

It's not difficult to comprehend at all. Most 2010-13 owners, as you say, dislike them because they don't have them & won't admit the 2014-15 taillights are more true to the Camaro 1960's retro design.
I find it humorous that you feel that because you state something it's fact. Don't worry, you're not alone.

I think the LED tails on the '14/'15 RS models are great - they add to the modern retro style and give the car a wider looking rear stance IMO. If I had a '10-'13 I would definitely get one of those aftermarket LED taillight kits.

Yes, in addition to being true to the 1960's models, they make the car appear lower & wider. There have been posts showing the rear of the 2010-13 & 2014-15 side-by-side.
Also, the 2014-15 taillight design was unique to the Camaro & not used on several other Chevy vehicles.

Seems like some of the 71's did have an extended grille section like this car does. Not sure if this was package specific or what, but the 2nds are my absolute favorite.

Camaro's simply don't get any better looking than this:

Agree 14/15 RS LED tail lights look f...... sinister!! Also do admire the 2010 to 2013 tail lights as well because they really do stand out from most cars on the road and as having a 1972 Chevelle reminds me of the tail lights.. of the GM muscle cars from the early 70s. The 5th gen Camaro really got it right !! All the way from 2010 to 2015... there's truly something there for all Camaro lovers

Yeah I like them so much I usually turn my light switch halfway on during the day because the tail lights look so cool Plus by having the light switch halfway on it lowers the brightness of the front halos about 50% which is the look I prefer - when the switch is off and the halos are on as DRL's they seem way too bright IMO.

The LED lights themselves at night look cool, but otherwise "flat" and generic looking during the day. The 14/15 rear end lost character

I believe the nose of true RS models was extended.

I usually leave my LED's on even during the day (see my post above) and the rear of the car just visually pops - definitely not flat or generic looking - it looks awesome IMO.
