Retro rims and badges for a Gen 5 SS.

Hey all,

So I've recently decided to 'spruce up' my Gen 5 2SS. I want to go with sort of a 'classic' look since this model sort of resembles the late 1960's Camaros.

First off and the most important, I've looked up pictures of what came stock on the 1968 Camaro 'sort of the filled in rims with slits' but I'm not seeing anything like these and I've browsed thousands of rims. Does anyone know if a company specifically makes retro rims for newer Camaros? If so, does anyone know which company/companies?

Last I want to replace the kind of square lettered 'Camaro' letters on the fenders of my car with the classic 'cursive' Camaro badge. Does anyone know if this is possible without having to get body work done to fill in the holes of the previous letters? Or are these retro badges made to fit the existing holes that house the current Camaro letters?

Thanks,

There are no holes where the "Camaro" emblems are on the fendors. They are stuck on with double sided 3m tape. Your new cursive style emblems will also have this tape on it.

No holes in your fenders, held on with tape. I had the classic SS emblems for a while on my car and got them from here:

American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are a nice old school look.

For the wheels, try yearone.com. I think they make the 'rally' wheel in larger/modern sizes.

Here's a link to the American racing version of the retro Rally Wheel. They have 17", 18" and 20". The orginal first gen Camaro scripts have mounting studs on them that would need to be cut off or you'd have to drill holes. Although there may be other aftermarket options out there with out studs.

Love the Torq-Thrust wheels! Love the Grey stripes on red too! I went with anthracite spokes, polished lip. Thought it matched my body color but was really tempted to go with chrome. Your car looks outstanding! I bet chrome Rally's would look great too.

Emblem Pros are great for retro badging and accessories. And they'll even work with you for some custom stuff.

Agree, I've gotten all my custom/aftermarket emblems from Emblem Pros. Great quality and excellent customer service; contact Roger if you have any questions or need something custom they don't already have.
