2011 SS w bose- what do you do about vehicle settings when replacing the radio?
Title pretty much has the question...I'm considering getting the PAC audio kit and upgrading the stereo to something a little more modern, but have wondered what happens if you want to change one of the settings that is in the factory stereo (lock/unlock behavior, etc...)
Is there a way to do this via the new head unit, or is it something you should get set up to your liking and just deal with them missing once you remove the factory head unit? Thanks!! |

PAC sells an adapter that you can use to alter the settings. I just left them the way they were and haven't had any issues, other than with the loud OnStar cutting in.
Edit: I think this is the part: https://pac-audio.com/catalog/radio-...-up&results=15 But like someone said below, I really haven’t felt the need to change the settings.

The Scosche kit has the ability to change the settings on one of the touch screens.
But then agian, I made my setting adjustments the day I bought my car and haven't touched them since. It's been 4.5 years.
