People....Midlife crisis, my A$$. We're in a society where everything has to have a label to justify it so those without can accept those with. Number_9's bride needs to just tell him "thanks for all those mortgage payments; now, go meet the other Camaro guys and have a beer."

It is not a midlife crisis - it is an identity. You can get much more fun out of driving your Camaro than going to a Cowboy game...it is cheaper, lasts longer and usually comes out on the winning side.

Go forth and look cool behind the wheel.

I'm 43 and have been wanting a camaro since my early teens. Got my baby September 14th and the smile hasn't left my face.

My uncle has had a 69 Z28 (302) since I was in my mid teens. Attended numerous car shows with him and brought home trophies each time so he is to blame for my infatuation. He now has 8 camaro's (all 67 - 69 years) including a 427 CO-PO car that he rebuilt from the ground up. Awesome car to say the least. And yes, he is the only other person to have driven my car and he loves it.

+10 on that one my friend. She's actually been really good, other than the MLC jabs early on, but with only 15 years of marriage under my belt, something tells me I'll be waiting for the thank you's for a while to come!

So was this an impulse purchase or had you been looking at them already? I carefully compared the Challenger, Mustang and Camaro. The Camaro won... once that decision was made, the Transformer package was a no brainer for me.

First - EMB135Driver - enjoy your ride - I'm sure you deserve it -

Mrs. tjd24 recently told me she could perhaps deal better with me IF I was drinking to excess over the Camaro and camaro5.com/NJFOA/etc, at least she'd press me into a Twelve Step program (no disrespect just an analogy). So step 1 for me is:

"I admit I am powerless over all things Camaro—that my life has become unmanageable but much more enjoyable."

So if my Camaro feeds my mid-life crisis at 51 then I'm stuck on step 1 for the foreseeable future...

I turn 45 next month and just did the same thing last night...ever since i was 16 i wanted a tubbed camaro and i bought a 68(pics in Garage). I figure this will feed my thurst til Chevy releases a Z or some other spectacular version in the next couple years. However, wife not too happy

I’m almost 42. I call it my midlife crisis car too, but it’s more like - the kids have all grown up and moved out - now it’s time for me car. I have had a couple of Camaro’s in the past too. I had an '85 Z28 when I was in college that we traded in when the 1st one was born and then a ’90 IROC that I called the “grocery getter” when the kids were still small enough to ride in the back seat. This one however is the only one that I ever had that was brand new, much less ordered and tracked and waited and waited for. I am little embarrassed sometimes when I show it off, like I shouldn’t be driving a sports car at my age. My husband says I deserve the car and to enjoy it, which I do!!
