Hypertech

Hi all.

I have a 2012 2ss in stick. A while ago I picked a hypertech programmer. My camaro only has flowmaster exhaust, and an air intake. Is this programmer any use to me? Most of the features are for automatic transmissions.

Should I keep this or resell? I appreciate any comments.

If this is the model you have,

http://www.hypertech-inc.com/vehicle...?AAIAID=377398

then it looks like you can use it for diagnostics and minor tuning.
Even if you dont intend to modify your tune its nice to be able to check codes.
If you have AFM/DOD its nice to be able turn it off.

Its not a popular one here that's for sure. If you want a tune the SCTX4 is likely the best handheld tuner. Dynosteve on here provides free Custom Tunes when you buy one from him and he's a great guy!

Heres his ongoing thread if you are interested.. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...440363&page=33

Don't worry about it , by looking at your profile picture you have a manual transmission and ls3 motor , the dod/afm is a sickness only auto/l99 camaros suffer from

Honsely with your mods "intake and exhaust" I would use the programmer that you already own

Once you get more mods that require custom tune like long tube headers or cam swap then yes go with the recommendation others have said

Intake and exhaust does not require a tune. If you decide to go further with mods find a good local tuner and use them, or drive to someone who can dyno tune. My opinion is to stay far away from these remote tune guys.
