No enough oil pressure at idle

Hello guys, just recently i put the gpi ss3 vvt cam and nitrous kit and when to get dynoed. After the dyno i notice my oil pressure was lowers than usual. So we decided to put a high pressure pump and change the oil pressure sensor. So in a cold start the oilpressure is between 20-30 psi but once the engine oil gets hot the oil pressure gets low. A hot start on idle the oil pressure is between 8-10 Psi. Does this mean a rod bearing went out, or should i try to put a engine oil cooler to see if it makes a difference? There is no knocking sound or any. Probably the cold engine oil will help it to let more pressure out.

Didn't pinch the oil tube o ring did ya? That would kill oil pressure. Yours does sound low. I have a standard pressure/volume pump and my numbers are higher. Probably 35-40 on a cold start and like 20 on hot idle

more info...miles on car....previous use(or abuse..lulz)..who tuned it...what is the idle rpm...

and what prey tell will an oil cooler do for ya? they don't keep oil below op temp...just prevent from exceeding max during races...

if no unusual noises per above was care taken to make sure the p/u tube o-ring didn't get buggered up....

report back and good luck!

peace

Miles on car is around 56,000
No abuse just would take the track once a month wouldnt really step on it on normal drive
The idle on rpm is at 900 and last night we were messing with the idle and turned it up a little and pressure was flowing about 15.8 psi at 1200 rpm
And yes thats the first thing were going to do is check the o-ring

This, very common...

I’d used assembly lube on the new o-ring.. helped me when I did mine:

Its possible they put the wrong o-ring on from the kit. I would replace it, check oil for metal.

Cam bearings?

Wow, what a pain in the ass just after completing the build. Oh well, better to find out now, right?
