Z28 cai

Thinking about purchasing the z28 cai for the aesthetic and performance. I hear mixed reviews about this kit. My question is will I need a tune or can I run it without tune?

You don't need a tune with a CAI.

I was reading the forum from 2-3 years and they said that for the z28 intake I would need a tune

I own it. No tune is required. Comes with a new MAF. It looks great and works great.

I like mine, the best looking one in my opinion. The rest just stick out way too much for my tastes.

Do you have ported throttle body also? And how do you like the fast lsx manifold?

You don't NEED a tune, but without one, you probably won't gain any power.

I had a Bo White PTB previously. There's not too much HP to be had from it but throttle response improvement is nice. It was worth the $ to me.

Now, I have NW 102 TB with the Fast IM.

I would not recommend the FAST IM if you are staying stock bottom end. The factory IM works very well. FAST is not much extra power for a bunch of money.

The reason I have it? I am installing a forged stroker with higher compression next winter.

The z/28 intake w/ a PTB and tune makes a difference.
