yeah, I got the rail number over the weekend. My car traveled the 50 miles or so from Oshawa to the Toronto yard late Sunday early Monday, arriving at 2:52 a.m. Monday, and simply sat there until 8:50 tonight when it departed. At least it is moving.

Do you not even have a rail # yet? That is unacceptable. GM can do better, you know?

I'm hoping those of us without stripes do have a rail car #. The problem is the camarotracking.com site has not been updated since 10/5. (And that site is not ran by GM, but Camaro lovers!) They've been in meetings or something, so they're behind.

Hopefully those of us in "Available to Ship" mode will get our rail car# and already be in the US when we make the call!!!

here's what I have surmised about shipping--I am sure this is intuitive to everyone else and probably redundant but it took me a while to reason it out--

When your car is put on a rail car by the plant and you get a rail #, it does not mean the rail is rolling down the tracks because the rail companies have schedules that they adhere to. That is if you are loaded on a Monday, but the train doesn't run until Friday, you sit until Friday. That is what I have been doing in Toronto rail yard, I think. The problem with sitting in Canada is the lack of access to schedules. Once the car hits the US you can find schedules on the companies' websites. Like with mine, once I hit the US it is a 4 day 23 hour trip to Nashville where it will be put on a truck. I hope this makes a little sense....

We've visited the websites, and I could find nothing about ETAs. Interesting. My wife's is an ETTX car and not a CN. Maybe I need to do some more research.

my car moved along quite quickly to indiana but then got switched to union pacific and is just waiting to head out I guess. Either that or union pacific doesn't get progress updates like CSX did. But when I call the union pacific tracking number it tells me my ETA is the 14th in california.

You deserve a bow.

After seeing you type union pacific, I finally understood what the dude from CSX was saying. He said UP. So, I called the UP number.
My wife's car departed Kansas at 9:20pm tonight scheduled to arrive in OKC tomorrow at 8:30pm!!!!!

For those that try this, you have to request a "trace" then speak your car letters and numbers.

Thanks John.

I'm so sad. No tracking update. I'm curious where she's at. Dealer told me it would be there within two weeks today.
