The Boost gauge does light up at night.

Since I put 1000 miles on it in the course of 3 days, I got enough time behind the wheel to satisfy me through the winter if I needed to. LOL

It was fun on the highway by myself at 3:30 a.m. through NY state. too bad the roads were wet.

Junkie,
They weren't laughing AT you.. they were laughing WITH you.

I'm gonna be Jealous of that NA motor. You need another BIG kid? I'll move in.. ROFL i'll ride in the back seat and I'm potty trained.

Maybe I need to keep my 540 cid 900 HP Camaro so I can Beat you. I have run a best of 9.42 at 148 MPH with it at 3/4 track pass. (has 4:88 gears in the rear with a turbo 400). It would be 11,000 rpm at the finish line with THOSE gears. I have the MSD rigged to kill spark at 9500 rpm. It needs 4:11's. Gotta Love that big block NA power... I always ran it 5500 - 9200 rpm. I bought a super street car and added a little bit extra power to it. This one pulls great wheelies 60 - 90' off the line. The 60 foot time was 1.56 timed off the BACK tires LOL.

I am keeping the Motor and selling the rest of the car as parts. I have 35K in that engine. I may put it in my office till I figure out what I want to do with it.

Too bad I was unemployed when I saw Warren Johnson's Superman Firebird for sale on ebay. I wanted that one so bad...that was 4 years ago.

Car is a super stock car.. it sits at Ride height for a stock IROC. Like 9" off the ground.. Good for wheelies. Bad to try n' control it since I WAY overpowered it. You can't steer it on 2 wheels. LOL I built it to go and pull wheelies.

I only paid 3K? when I bought the car with the cage already installed. All the money is in the engine and parts. I am selling the body and keeping the parts. That was before the Little one came along. Now she's 4.. so I am getting back into Racing. Not sure if I am going to run it or not.. so I will keep the parts in the house (dry, heated cellar) in case I get the itch again. Fuel was expensive back then. It would cost $400.00 for 5-6 runs today for the gas.

Yeah, the Pro stock guys update their cars every year, and sell the old chassis to Sportsman racers. I could have bought WJ's old firebird for 40K. He won 2 championships with that car.

I picked up my truck today. I went cheap. Bought a used 2006 silverado with 40K miles 4X4. It's going to plow the driveway and tow the car trailer. It's only a half ton. I don't need a lot of truck for the 'lil car trailer.

Life IS good.. Going broke though. LOL

I pulled a Windy.. My contractor just finished re-siding the house. I still have stonework to be done on the front. I will post a pic of the homestead once that is done... House is getting it's LPE treatment... I changed from wood siding to Vinyl. I didn't want to have to paint this place. It is kinda big.

I get the Camaro, Wife gets the house done.

I may need a second Job.. there is no money left in the bank account for the wheels. LOL

Maybe Santa will put a set of forgelines under the ol' christmas tree for the camaro.

Same here.. we need to re-shingle the house and the wife wants some new doors and windows. We just got some new furniture, so maybe that will hold her off until next spring. I have to replenish as well. I'm hoping for some Christmas stocking stuffers as well

570 - that motor is a beast as well, don't get rid of that baby!!!

I wanted to share a pretty funny story with my LPE brothers.
Last Friday when we were up in Decatur visiting Lingy and we were taking our tour through the shop, we eventually came into the motor assembly room. This is were master motor builder Steve resides. After chatting a bit with Steve he starts telling us about a Surgeon customer of theirs. The surgeon tells Steve you know what you’re doing isn’t much different then what I do. Steve says that’s true but I don’t get paid as much as you do.
The surgeon then replies while staring at the short block Steve is working on, well mine are still running while I'm working on them how bout you. Steve kind of dumbfounded for a moment then replies, well no, but can you give a three year 36000 mi warranty. LMAO

I don’t think I will ever forget that story.

I must say the trip up to Lingy was more than I expected. Not only did I get the chance to see how the best performance shop operated, I also met some really great people Kevin, Tim, Ryan. Nathan and Steve just to name a few. If anyone is considering having a car built or is having a car built by LPE, I would highly recommend you visit this awesome facility. It will be worth your time.
