Hey Ted the JRE ZL1 FPCM that you sell, is that a brand new stock one, or has it been modded in some way? I have a ZL1 fuel pump and a ZL1 FPCM for my supercharger build, but I want to make sure there is no difference.

A standard ZL-1 FPCM will not work in an SS camaro, it must be specially programmed to work in the SS.

Our FPCMs are brand new.

Ted.

What are your thoughts on those PD Blower Spacer Plates, for thermal management, in particular, the one designed for the Heartbeat?

I haven’t looked on your site to see if you sell it, but I wanted to know your personal opinion on these spacers.

Let's just say you don't need them.

Ted, a fellow member here about 30 minutes away from me has a ZL1 Fuel Pump and one of your JRE FPCMs. He upgraded his fuel system after about 10k miles. With my current stock SS fuel pump setup my fuel pressure during an 1/8 mile run at the track varies quite a bit. Right at the hit the pressure drops to 37 psi and recovers in about 0.2 secs to 50 psi and averages about 50 psi for the rest of the run until I let off then it spikes to 72 psi for about 0.2 secs then goes back to about 58 lbs. Do you think the ZL1 Fuel Pump & JRE FPCM would help. I think that initial drop in fuel pressure to 37 psi is when the fuel & nitrous solenoids open to start the spray when the throttle body opens all the way. Thanks for looking at this post. My mods are in the signature, I still have the stock cam & heads.

They would be a huge improvement, but you may still need a fuel pump voltage booster.

With NOS suddenly opening a leak in your fuel rail you will not be able to avoid the pressure drop, My suggestion here is a separate fuel system to supply the NOS system, Like a Surge tank

Thanks for the quick response Ted. I would like to try the ZL1 Fuel Pump and the JRE FPCM first without a voltage booster. Would it be plug and play or would I need to have my tune tweaked to account for the ZL1 pump & JRE FPCM? What should my fuel pressure be during a run? Frank

The high and low flow tables should be updated to ZL-1 specs in the tune.

Your fuel pressure should stay at 59-61 psi all the time except ofcoarse when the NOS kicks in.

Is that something you can do in an email tune for me (I have an SCT X4)? Adjusting the high and low flow tables to ZL-1 Specs?

Yes if I have tuned your car before otherwise I need to start from scratch.

I saw in a previous post you are planning to be at CamaroFest in KY this year, will you have the ability to do dynotuning there?
