this thing seems like a steal @ $299, there's not many other devices at that price that display that much info in real time

hmmmm

How do you accurately setup the HP MIN SPEED and the HP MAX SPEED with the MATRIX KAT?

The instructions are sketchy at best. The default is 30 50.

I use 30-55 for my 0-60 MPH runs.

As far as the HP factor ( not needed for 0-60 or 1/4 mi runs) I think it's App. 1.30 That is just for Avg. & peak HP in your run.
STOCK V6 304HP should be around 258 WHP, thats with a 15% loss.

It's about the same except the Matrix runs on 2 AA batteries no wires to hook up. All other features are the same.

My friend has this K.A.T.3 Matrix and a G tech pro and says its just as accurate as the G tech. I picked one up and its great.

I got mine from the above recommendation form another Camaro5 member about 2+ months ago. I also find it great. I mount it on the plastic radio face with the 3 suction cup mount it comes with.

I bought one but haven't had a chance to use it. I'll use it the next time I go to the D-Strip...

It's a great tool to see what difference modifications make on the 0-60mph or 1/4mi times also.
You will find weather & elevation makes a big diff. in times, but I guess you know that.
As far as the HP, I am still fine tuning the HP factor. It should be around 1.30 for my car.
I am using 3,900lbs.for the weight.
